Mom's Bug

Mom is so hilarious. Every time she gets in the bug, her whole face lights up and she's like a kid again.
We went to South Bend yesterday to get a spare key made and to do a little shopping. I haven't seen her that happy in a long time. She was pretending to beep at the big Semi's and whipping into parking spaces with a big grin. Dyrs said she looked like she was driving a little lemon around. It is just so great to see her get something that she has wanted for so long.

It got me thinking about all the great things that have happened in my life recently and how I should be as happy and elated as mom with her bug. But in my negative nature, I was focusing on all the things that I wasn't getting. Like the new job I want, or the perfect college opportunity, or the new house we are going to have to wait to get. I was looking at my life and seeing all the things I still need. Not all the things that I am grateful to have.

I think its time I put on my lemon colored glasses and had some fun.
