Well, we are finally buying our first home. It has been a dream of ours since we started dating; well I think it is a dream of everyone's. We drove by the house today to see how much time it would add to my morning commute, if I skip buying coffee at the gas station, I wouldn't have to leave any earlier and the roads I will be taking are main drags so they will be plowed in the winter. For all you SC transplants, this is still a very important consideration in buying a house in the country :)
We are closing on Friday and I absolutely cannot believe it is 5 days away. I hope it goes well, our real estate agent said we should get some money back, so that will be a plus, we really need it right now for little things like: What if the fridge in the new house doesn't work, and how much does it cost to steam clean 3000 sq feet of carpet?
But those are the joys of moving into a new home. It even feels like home when you pull in the drive way. Its quite and comforting and well I just want to walk up to the door, turn the key, and squeal in delight. And yes I will be squealing and jumping up and down!
I just can't wait. I will have pictures soon!
My life and the journey thus far
